Tropical Green Smoothie
A delicious way to start the day or recharge after a hectic one!
Ingredients:
1/2 bunch organic spinach
2/3 cup filtered water
1/3 cup organic coconut milk
1 medium banana
2 medjool dates
1/2 cup pineapple
1 small mango (peeled + core removed)
2 tablespoons hemp hearts
Directions:
If your blender isn’t the best, you’ll want to blend the spinach and liquids together first until mostly smooth. Add the remaining ingredients and blend well. If none of your fruit is frozen, make sure to add some ice cubes to help reduce the foam created by the spinach and also to give a more “milk shake” like texture. Using slightly frozen spinach will also produce a much smoother texture if desired. If you have a high powered blender like a vitamix or blendtec, just add all ingredients as listed and blend away!
Experiment with other kinds of fruits and dark leafy greens, as well as adding things like ground flax seeds, spirulina, chlorella, a high quality protein powder (like Vega) or a high quality fish oil.
