Garlicky Green Beans With Pine Nuts


1 tablespoon organic unsalted butter
1 tablespoon organic extra virgin olive oil
1 medium head garlic – peeled and sliced
1 lb fresh green beans
2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
unrefined sea salt and pepper to taste
1/4 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
1/4 cup pine nuts


Steam green beans to reach desired tenderness. In a large skillet over medium heat, melt butter with olive oil; add garlic, and cook until lightly browned, stirring frequently. Stir in green beans, and season with salt and pepper. Add lemon juice, toss and remove from heat. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese and pine nuts.
